Title:SAMR001.jpg
Description:The houses of Wood Willows, now 356 to 378 Manchester Road, are on the boundary between Stocksbridge and Deepcar. The properties were built before 1908. The Samuel Fox Stainless Department was later built behind them. The walls of these houses are so thick that on the night of the Sheffield Blitz at least one family was not even aware that there was a raid on. At that time the bathrooms were in the cellar, with natural light entering through a skylight in the backyard.
