Title:SAFL009.jpg
Description:Bath Terrace was the name given to a row of houses on Ford Lane, they were named after the Bath House which stood nearby. Samuel Fox built a lot of housing for his workers, many of which were of a terrace style of construction such as these. This Photograph shows a street party held in 1945 to celebrate the victorious conclusion of WWII. The families living there at the time were those of Marsden, Marsh, Sanderson, Day, Watkinson, Beever, Coney and Harrison. The row looked out on to the old Bath House and the Japanning Shop, which belonged to the works of Samuel Fox & Company limited.
