Description:PC Bobby George Jackson was attached to Deepcar Police Station from 1925 to 1938 he served as a sergeant in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps during the First World War. He was wounded and gassed. In 1917 he was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field and in 1920 he received a British War Victory Medal. He also wears the St Johns Ambulance Brigade badge on his sleeve.
